Café Federico is a Colombian coffee brand producing high-altitude Arabica coffee from Hacienda Santa Inés in Consacá, Nariño. The estate has been owned by the Buendía Martínez family since 1905, with coffee cultivated at elevations of approximately 1,850 to 2,050 metres on the slopes of the Galeras volcano. These growing conditions contribute to coffees with vibrant acidity, sweet and fruity characteristics, caramel notes and a balanced body.
Production is managed through a multi-stage selection process covering cultivation, harvesting, fermentation, drying, sorting and roasting. The coffee undergoes repeated manual and mechanical quality controls, including electronic colour sorting before roasting. Café Federico offers parchment coffee, green coffee, roasted beans and roasted ground coffee for domestic and international buyers.
The farm also places emphasis on responsible production and traceability. Hacienda Santa Inés has received Rainforest Alliance and Fairtrade certifications, while a significant share of harvesting work is carried out by women coffee pickers. The brand entered the commercial market in 2025, building on the family estate’s long history of coffee cultivation in Nariño.
