Farm Progress Show 2026 will take place from September 1 to 3, 2026, at the Farm Progress Showgrounds in Boone, Iowa. Established in 1953, the event is one of North America’s largest outdoor agricultural exhibitions and brings together farmers, ranchers, agricultural businesses, equipment manufacturers and technology providers. Nearly 600 agribusinesses participate across approximately 85 acres of exhibit fields, presenting new products and technologies for crop production, farm management and rural operations. Visitors travel from across the United States and international markets to examine developments influencing modern agriculture.
The exhibition covers agricultural machinery, tractors, harvesting equipment, tillage systems, grain handling, seeds, crop protection products, livestock equipment, precision agriculture and emerging farm technologies. Its audience consists primarily of farm owners, operators and managers, alongside agronomists, dealers, distributors, agricultural consultants and procurement professionals. A major feature of Farm Progress Show is its outdoor demonstration environment, where visitors can observe equipment working under field conditions rather than only viewing static exhibits. Demonstrations include harvesting, tillage, grain handling, autonomous machinery, UAV technologies and Ride and Drive activities.
Farm Progress Show combines commercial sourcing with practical education and direct interaction between producers and agricultural technology companies. New product introductions, field demonstrations and technical discussions allow farmers to evaluate equipment and practices before making investment decisions. The event also includes livestock and equine activities, rural-life programmes and additional industry networking opportunities. The show alternates annually between its permanent locations in Boone, Iowa, and Decatur, Illinois, with Boone hosting the event in even-numbered years and Decatur in odd-numbered years.
