Furniture and interior design will share the stage with sustainability, industry innovation and emerging creative talent when Riga Furniture and Interior 2026 returns to Latvia this October.
The international exhibition will take place from October 16–18 at the Ķīpsala International Exhibition Centre in Riga, bringing together furniture companies, designers, architects and professionals working across interior products and materials.
Across two exhibition halls, visitors will be able to explore furniture, lighting, finishing materials, textiles, décor and other interior products, while the accompanying program will look beyond individual products to some of the issues shaping the design and furniture sector.
Sustainability and innovation enter the industry discussion
One of the main professional events will be a conference organized by the Latvian Furniture Association.
According to organizer BT 1, the conference will bring experts together to discuss current industry trends, sustainable solutions, innovation and opportunities for further development in the furniture sector.
Those discussions will sit alongside a consumer-facing part of the exhibition where visitors can meet interior designers and seek advice on room planning, material selection, color combinations and furniture placement.
The combination gives the event two distinct sides: a marketplace for furniture and interior products, and a forum for considering how design practices and business priorities are changing.
Emerging artists and designers get a platform
Creative talent will also feature through ARTISTS RUNWAY 2026, a platform bringing together art, design and emerging creators.
The organizer says the initiative is intended to introduce visitors to new artists and original design ideas, adding a more experimental element to the commercial exhibition.
Latvian art and design school students are also included in the wider exhibition program, alongside conferences and workshops.
For visitors interested in interiors, the event will therefore extend beyond finished furniture collections to include design concepts, materials and ideas coming from both established companies and newer creative voices.
