Amsterdam Fashion Week (AFW) 2026 will take place from September 1 to 5, 2026, across multiple venues in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Recognised as a leading fashion platform in the Benelux, AFW brings together established designers, emerging talent, brands and creative professionals through runway shows, presentations, exhibitions and cultural events. The 2026 edition features more than 40 shows and presentations, combining Dutch fashion with international collaborations while maintaining a strong focus on creativity, inclusivity, sustainability, upcycling and textile innovation.
The programme spans fashion, jewellery, streetwear, couture and experimental design while connecting designers with media, buyers, industry professionals and wider creative communities. AFW 2026 opens with AICHE’s first couture show, Seeing Sounds, while Tess van Zalinge marks the label’s tenth anniversary with an archive show. Other programme highlights include Wouters & Hendrix presenting its AW26 collection through an immersive experience, Vlisco Dialogues bringing archive prints together with ready-to-wear and interiors, and a retrospective celebrating 20 Years of Lichting and two decades of emerging Dutch fashion talent.
Beyond runway presentations, AFW extends into workshops, exhibitions, talks and public activations across Amsterdam. Levi’s and United Repair Academy explore denim repair and circular craftsmanship, while The HUB hosts fashion exhibitions, workshops, vintage retail and AFW Talks. Circularity is also reflected through clothing swaps, repair initiatives and upcycling-focused projects. The week concludes with an official closing event at Amsterdam’s Westerkerk, reinforcing AFW’s city-wide format and its connection between fashion, culture and Amsterdam’s creative identity.
