The fresh produce industry’s challenges will take center stage in Orlando this October as the International Fresh Produce Association prepares to address food safety, supply chain disruption and artificial intelligence at its annual Global Produce & Floral Show.
The event, scheduled for October 14–16, 2026, will bring together growers, suppliers, retailers and other businesses involved in the global fresh produce and floral supply chain.
IFPA CEO Cathy Burns will open the show on October 14 with the association’s annual State of the Industry address, examining the issues affecting businesses across the sector. The session will focus on food safety, consumer confidence, international trade, sustainability, climate and the growing role of artificial intelligence.
Food safety will be a central part of the opening discussion, with particular attention to rebuilding consumer confidence following foodborne illness outbreaks.
According to IFPA, the address will examine how companies can protect consumer trust while responding to disruptions in international trade and maintaining reliable year-round supplies.
Climate-related challenges and sustainability will also feature in the discussion, alongside the role of technology in helping businesses adapt to changing market conditions.
The association has identified increasing fresh produce consumption as another priority, connecting consumer confidence and product availability with broader industry development.
This year’s Global Produce & Floral Show will also introduce a revised schedule, moving away from its previous weekend format.
The 2026 edition will run from Wednesday through Friday, following feedback from IFPA members. The association says the change is intended to provide more opportunities for business meetings and industry participation during the working week.
Alongside the conference program, the exhibition will cover fresh produce, floral products, packaging, logistics, food safety solutions, automation and other technologies used throughout the supply chain.
The official exhibitor directory also includes dedicated areas for organic products, sustainable packaging and new products being presented at the event.
The Global Produce & Floral Show 2026 will take place from October 14–16 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
