More than 1,000 medtech CEOs and C-suite executives are expected in Boston for The MedTech Conference 2026, where industry leaders will discuss how companies are scaling, adapting supply chains and responding to changes in healthcare delivery.

The MedTech Conference will take place from October 18–21, 2026, at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, bringing medical technology companies, investors, healthcare organizations and industry leaders together for four days of meetings and discussions.

A central part of this year’s executive program will be CEOs Unplugged, a series of 14 sessions featuring senior leaders from across the medical technology industry.

Rather than focusing solely on individual products or technologies, the sessions will examine some of the broader decisions facing medtech companies as they expand, manage supply chains and respond to changes in how healthcare is delivered.

From scaling companies to ambulatory care

The program includes discussions around building and scaling medtech businesses, with executives sharing perspectives on company growth and operating in increasingly complex healthcare markets.

Another theme is the shift toward ambulatory care, as more procedures and treatments move away from traditional hospital environments and into outpatient settings.

That transition has implications for medical device companies, from product design and distribution to how technologies are used by clinicians outside large hospital systems.

Supply chains remain part of the conversation

Supply chain resilience will also feature in the CEOs Unplugged program.

Medical technology companies operate across international manufacturing and distribution networks, making component availability, logistics and production capacity important considerations for both established manufacturers and growing companies.

The conference will examine how industry leaders are approaching those challenges while continuing to develop and commercialize new products.

Simulation-first development enters the agenda

One of the more forward-looking topics highlighted by the conference is simulation-first development.

The approach uses digital models and simulation earlier in the development process, allowing companies to test designs and scenarios before moving further into physical prototyping or clinical development.

It is one of several themes showing how the medtech sector is changing not only through new products, but also through new approaches to designing, testing and bringing those products to market.

The wider MTC26 program will also cover regulation, investment, healthcare delivery, manufacturing and emerging medical technologies.

The MedTech Conference 2026 will take place from October 18–21 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
